Meet Our Founder

Oxford Psychometrics was founded in 1996 by Dr. Chintha Dissanayake, a leader deeply committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and human connection in the workplace. Her life and work reflect a simple but powerful belief: when people thrive, organisations succeed.

Chintha’s story spans cultures and continents. Born in Sri Lanka, raised and educated in the UK, and having spent part of her life in Belgium, she brings a unique, multicultural perspective to the complexities of modern work. This rich background helps her understand both the challenges and opportunities of building truly inclusive teams in today’s global economy.

Her approach is deeply influenced by the early experiences that instilled in her the principles of Buddhism—specifically, the values of compassion and care. These foundational beliefs have seamlessly woven themselves into the fabric of every solution that Oxford Psychometrics delivers. Understanding that success is intrinsically linked to well-being, she firmly believes that fostering an environment rooted in trust, respect, and a sense of belonging is essential not only for moral reasons but also as vital drivers of performance.

As a mother, Chintha also understands the importance of flexibility and balance insights that guide her vision for workplaces that support people both personally and professionally.

With decades of experience in occupational psychology, Chintha combines scientific insight with a human touch, helping leaders and teams create cultures of trust, resilience, and sustainable performance.

Her personal mission has always been clear:

To create workplaces where people feel valued, leaders lead with compassion, and organisations achieve success—without compromising human dignity.
