Dr. Chintha Dissanayake , founder of OXFORD PSYCHOMETRICS , is a Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society, with over 15 years of experience in the field.

Born in Sri Lanka , raised & educated in the UK , Chintha moved to Oxford in 1992. Then in 1996, working with her extensive network of professional psychologists, Chintha founded OXFORD PSYCHOMETRICS.


 


Training & Experience


 

Chintha's higher education commenced with an honours BSc . degree from Kings'College London . She pursued her keen interest in Psychology with postgraduate MSc. (1987) and PhD. (1994) degrees from Cranfield University , specialising in Applied Industrial Psychology and more recently a MA. (2002) in Law and Employment Relations, from the Faculty of Law at the University of Leicester .

Chintha started her career lecturing on psychology at Milton Keynes & Oxford Colleges of Further Education. However her wide ranging experience in industrial psychology was gained within public and private sector organisations such as the Employment Department and HM Prison Service the Civil Aviation Authority (UK), City investment banks as well as high street banks such as Barclays and Abbey National Plc , Multi-nationals such as the Ford Motor Company and Thomson Tour operators and charities such as Macmillan Nurses & Marie Curie .

Chintha's industrial experience has focused on a range of specialist areas such as job analysis , assessment and development centre design and implementation, validation of psychometric testing , competency frameworks , 360 degree feedback and industrial arbitration , all in the application of psychology in the promotion of better practice and performance in the workplace.

Chintha's professional memberships include the British Psychological Society , the Commission des Psychologues, Brussels , the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Inc. USA, where she has been a member of the International Conference Review Committee since 2002.
